The Giant Vision Business competition is  aan opportunity for you to win seed capital for your enterprise.  Even more importantly, it is an opportunity for you to gain experience in preparing a business plan and making a compelling presentation.

On this page you will submit your Governor's Giant Vision Business Competition written business plan that outlines the business idea, potential markets, production requirements (if any) and other standard items.  All South Dakotans, including innovative individuals in the workplace with ideas for their own business are encouraged to apply.  The competition is open to entrepreneurs with new ideas that they believe would benefit from the review and analysis process of the competition.  Existing companies may only have been in business three years or less AND with annual revenue not to exceed $250,000. 

REQUIREMENTS:
To apply for either competition, you must prepare a business plan totaling no more than 10 pages. You are required to utilize the financial template which may be downloaded here. Limited attachments (2-3 pages) that support your application may be included in addition to the 10 page maximum application.

Applications must be submitted by midnight, Friday, February 24, 2012.

Need help with numbers? We have a financial template available to help you along. This is a required document for participants in the business competition. Applicants need only complete the lines that apply to their business model.  It is okay to skip items that do not pertain to your situation or to enter line items that do not appear on the template.
