Competition Overview

To enter the 2012 Governor’s Giant Vision Business Competition, applicants must submit an extensive written business plan outlining their idea. A panel of judges made up of venture capitalists, financiers, educators, and established business leaders will review all of the submitted plans and invite qualifying entries to a formal competition at this years’ Governor’s Office of Economic Development Conference on April 10-11, in Sioux Falls.

The qualifiers will be expected to give presentations and discuss their ideas with business leaders, finance experts and others invited to attend the event.

The winner will be awarded $20,000. Second place award of $5,000, third place receiving $4,000, fourth place $3,000, and fifth place $2,000. The remaining seven qualifiers will receive $500 each to help with the expense of participation.
